Darcy and Will tied the knot at the Filter Building at White Rock Lake. They chose the lake as their setting because that is where Will proposed to Darcy so it was very meaningful to the both of them. He surprised Darcy during work one day, and asked her to go on a walk during her lunch break. Darcy was not quite sure what was going on when Will lead her on an unexpected walk to the dock. He surprised Darcy when he got down on one knee, and asked her to be his wife! Darcy did not expect the proposal, and his surprise got him a “yes” on the spot. On September 17, 2016, a gorgeous fall day, Darcy married Will!
We told you she was beautiful…an absolutely stunning bride!
We love the poster in Darcy & Will’s living room…White Rock Lake! The location for their wedding!
Darcy and Will did not have a first look, so photos were taken of the girls outside by the lake, and on the patio of the Filter Building, before the men arrived at the venue. We loved Darcy’s loose French country style bouquet of garden roses, tulips and stock in cream and blush colors, light pink astilbe, and seeded eucalyptus. It fit her style of a relaxed and fun day!
A simple arch decorated with greenery by Fleur de France was the perfect choice to compliment the prettiest lake in Dallas, for Darcy and Will’s wedding ceremony at White Rock Lake. And we loved Darcy’s choice of navy blue and gold for her color palette. With the red brick of the Filter Building, the navy tablecloths really popped and made the room so visually appeali
Many brides today are having a first look with their father, and this is one of the sweetest we’ve ever seen. You can just see the emotion jumping off the page. And the bride’s brother is in the background watching his sister…what a great moment!
Here are some of our favorite pictures….Darcy and Will on the pier at White Rock Lake.
Gold chargers and votive candles were a pretty compliment to the navy cloths and napkins.
Not a cake lover? Not a problem – serve pie instead and that’s exactly what Darcy and Will did…and ordered from the best pie maker in Dallas, Annie’s Culinary Creations. The guests loved it!
Yes, you can have warm Krispy Kreme delivered to your wedding – gotta have that late night snack after a night of dancing!
The most beautiful full moon appeared over the lake, and Jenny Bright captured these fun pictures.
We love a bride who changes into a going away outfit, and then exits with sparklers into a vintage car!
Here’s a signature item from Sue Kelson Events…we make every couple a basket of goodies for their hotel room – champagne, cheese, crackers, fruit, cake, nuts, and other snacks. Every couple is hungry after their reception, and we refuse to have them go through the drive thru at McDonald’s!
We asked Darcy what was the best memory of her wedding day, and she told us, “It’s hard to choose just one memory. I really enjoyed the ceremony itself – our minister put together an incredibly meaningful ceremony full of personal notes we had written him about each other. Looking Will in the eyes while the minister read them and knowing we were surrounded by people who loved us was very moving. I shed more than a couple of tears.”
